11. Prize
12. Rules for riders’ equipment:
I. Front and rear brakes MUST be installed in race bikes. Full face helmet MUST be worn when riding.
II. Full finger gloves, knee guards, elbow guards, body armor, riding backpack are highly recommended to ENDURO participants.
III. In case of accidents, racks and any non-race accessories must NOT be installed on race bikes.
IV. No restrictions to wheel size, suspension travel , tire size for ENDURO, XCC and XCO.
V. For E-Bike groups, the bike must be “pedal electric bike”, no restrictions to wheel size, suspension travel , tire size.
13. Race rules:
(1)Retired riders must inform event staff before the finish line and return the timing chip. Failing to do so will result in disqualification (DSQ).
(3)It is NOT allowed to use other rider’s timing chip as it disrupts finish line timing. Both the rider wears other’s timing chip and the rider whose timing chip was worn will result in DSQ.
(4)Please shout in advance to notify riders ahead when overtaking. Ahead riders MUST yield the line and must NOT block overtaking riders.
Please consider your own physical condition and only register for the races you can complete. The event officials or medical staff have the authority to disqualify riders based on their physical condition, and riders may not object to their decision.
(5)Riders MUST pay attention to their physical condition during the race. If feeling unwell, please do not push yourself. Riders with medical conditions such as heart disease, vascular disease, or diabetes must NOT conceal their condition and must NOT register for the race. Riders are responsible for themselves in any accident during the race, and the organizers bear no liability.
(6)During the designated practice sessions on the track, riders are advised to pay special attention to their personal safety, ensure carrying cell phones and necessary supplies. Only ride on the track within the regulated time, and leave the track before the closing time.
(7)It is NOT allowed to litter on the track. Please use the trash bins provided in the main venue.
(8)Only riders with the staff number bibs and event staff are allowed to enter the tracks during the race. Riders' relatives, private technicians, or private photographers are NOT allowed toenter the track at any time.
(9)All riders MUST wear a helmet at all times when riding. Failing to do so will result in being banned from the event.
(10)The transfer of number bibs and participation qualifications are NOT allowed in the event. Any violation will result in DSQ.
(11)Please ensure the safety of yours and others during the event, and refrain from inappropriate language and behavior. Respect other riders, event staff, commissaries, medical personnel, marshals, and spectators.
(12)During the race, riders are NOT allowed to question commissaries on the spot. Appeals on results must be submitted to the chief commissary in written form within 1 hour after the end of the race.
(13)In case of force majeure such as typhoons before the race, for the sake of riders’ safety, the organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the race or use alternative routes and riders must not object to such decisions. Any changes to the race will be announced at the main venue on the day of the race.
(14)The organizer reserves the right to modify the rules at any time, and will announce it at the official pre-race briefing.
(15)In case of life threatening emergencies, please call the organizer, 0967-377-644. Staff and medical personnel will assist within their limited resources. For medical assistance, riders can seek help from track patrols. Mechanical failures should be handled by riders themselves.
(16)Riders must carry their own inner tubes, chain links, basic tools, etc., to deal with mechanical failures.
(17)Riders MUST handle mechanical failures during the race or in liaisons by themselves and riders in the same race can help each other. Any assistance from anyone other than the riders in the same race is NOT allowed. The restriction can be bypassed only in the main venue.
(18)The organizer does not provide printed Race Book. Riders should refer to the official Facebook page for event schedules and precautions.
(19)For ENDURO, only approximate routes are provided, the exact routes will only be announced 3 days prior to the race.
(20)ENDURO riders can proceed to the seeding upon check in. The organizer will designate riders to different ZONES based on seeding results. Riders can only start in the zones designated by the organizer (for the first stage, riders must start in the order announced by the organizer). Riders must know and their own start times and manage their pace accordingly.
(21)If an ENDURO rider arrives at a stage later than their zone time, they can only start in the next zone and will have a 1-minute time penalty. Failure to do so will result in NOT allowed to complete this stage. For riders designated in the last zone, 10 minutes will be reserved for late arrivals, and a 1-minute time penalty will be issued.
Example: If a ZONE 1 rider arrives later than his zone then he can start in ZONE 2, but will have a 1-minute penalty. If a ZONE 20 rider (last zone) arrives later than his zone, the organizer will only extend the time by 10 minutes for the rider to arrive, the rider will have a 1-minute penalty. Failure to do so, the rider must abandon this stage and proceed to the next stage to continue to race.
(22)Special signage for ENDURO: In open areas of race track, "gates" will be designed with tapes or cones. Riders must pass through each gate on the track and must NOT skip them or cut it through. If any gate is missed, the rider must return to the point where he missed the gate and re-ride the section. Failure to complete a gate will result in DSQ for that stage.
(23)On June 20, the track is open to practice. For certain parts of the ENDURO race designated liaison, ONLY MTBs or pedal electric bikes are allowed. Except shuttles provided by the organizer, riders are NOT allowed to use their own cars or motorcycles for practice during the event! External assistance is NOT allowed during the event, and riders must complete all stages, including liaisons by themselves!
(24)After completing the race, the timing chip MUST be returned. Failure to do so will result in a fine of NT$1,000.
(25)Reference: Enduro World Series / UCI WORLD CUP ENDURO rule books.
(26)Detailed race information will be announced 2 weeks prior to the event on the official Facebook page. If there are any matters not covered, the organizer reserves the right to supplement or revise the rules at any time, which will be announced in the official Facebook page without notifying individually.
14. Event insurance: This event will be covered by public liability insurance and travel insurance.
※ According to insurance regulations, the insurance coverage is limited to accidents that occur during this event resulting in bodily injury. Injuries caused by personal constitution or diseases are not covered by this event insurance. Participants are advised to consider their personal needs and purchase life insurance accordingly.
※ This event does not cover vehicle damage or personal property damage. If participants are concerned about damage to their vehicles caused by participating ithis event, it is recommended to purchase additional insurance on their own.
I. Content and coverage amount of public liability insurance: (All details are subject to the insurance contract of the insurance company)
●NT$3 million per person for bodily injury liability.
●NT$15 million or more for bodily injury liability per accident (refers to the maximum compensation amount for total bodily injury in the same accident).
●NT$2 million or more for property damage liability per accident.
●The maximum compensation amount during the insurance period is NT$34 million or more (including the total amount for bodily injury and property damage).
II. Coverage of public liability insurance:
●The insured party is liable for compensation according to law for bodily injury, death, or property damage to third parties caused by the following accidents occurring during the insurance period, and when a compensation claim is made, the insurance company is responsible for compensating the insured party.
●Accidents occurring while the insured person or their employees are riding on the activity routes specified in the insurance policy.
●Accidents occurring in buildings, passages, machinery, or other structures on the activity routes.
●This public liability insurance is different from personal accident insurance (the organizer is responsible for negligence, and relevant proof is provided during the event venue and route, and compensated after assessment by the insurance). The maximum compensation amount for this event insurance is the amount covered by the policy, and the organizer will not increase other compensation separately. For those who have doubts about the scope and items of insurance coverage, please use your own judgement to participate.
●Exclusions:
(1)Sports injuries caused by personal illnesses.
(2)Symptoms caused by personal constitution or cardiovascular conditions, such as shock, heart disease, diabetes, heat exhaustion, heatstroke, altitude sickness, epilepsy, dehydration, etc. Injuries caused by pre-existing conditions will not be covered by the insurance, and public liability insurance only covers injuries caused by external accidents.
(3)For participants with a medical history related to the diseases mentioned in item (2) above, it is recommended that participants carefully consider their own safety and purchase personal accident insurance according to their personal needs.
15. Notice for participants:
I. For the sake of safety, the organizers reserve the right to suspend participation eligibility based on the physical condition of participants or the condition of their bikes, and objections shall NOT be raised.
II. The organizers have the right to broadcast, exhibit, and publish the recordings, photographs, and results of this event worldwide, and participants are required to consent to the use of their portraits, results, and other related works for promotional and broadcasting purposes.
III. Participants agree to authorize the organizers and their designated individuals to photograph and record audiovisual materials of participants during the event, and agree that the organizers shall obtain the copyright (including moral rights and property rights) of such works, and may use all personal data of participants and related works within the scope of processing the event and utilizing the aforementioned audiovisual materials and photographs in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and Copyright Law.
IV.Participants consent to the organizers and their designated individuals publicly disclosing, using, exploiting, and selling the aforementioned audiovisual materials and photographs. Participants also waive any civil claims and criminal complaints against the organizers and their designated individuals regarding the aforementioned audiovisual materials and photographs.
V. Non-cooperating contracted vendors and individuals are prohibited from engaging in commercial activities involving the sale of images taken of participants after photography or filming.
VI. In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as typhoons, earthquakes, or relevant epidemic control measures prior to the event, the organizers reserve the right to decide whether to cancel, postpone, or adopt alternative plans for safety considerations, and participants shall NOT object to such decisions.
VII.Refund policy:
●For group registrations, the group leader is required to submit the request (applications from non-group leaders will not be accepted). Please provide information such as the bank name, bank code, branch name, account number, and account name, and apply for a refund on the refund application page.
●For cancellations and refunds requested before June 2, 2024, a total deduction of NT$230 (covering administrative fees and bank charges) will be made before the remaining registration fee is refunded.
●For cancellations and refunds requested between June 3 and June 12, 2024, a 40% processing fee will be deducted from the total registration fee before the remaining registration fee is refunded.
●Starting from June 13, 2024, refunds will not be accepted for any reason other than the following circumstances, as customized materials customized for participants have begun production. Participants unable to participate in the event due to the following reasons may provide supporting documents. After deducting a 50% processing fee from the total registration fee, the remaining registration fee will be refunded.
(1)Natural or man-made disasters.
(2)Interruption of transportation.
(3)Military service, conscription, or education recall.
(4)Injury, illness, or pregnancy.
(5)Death of a spouse or first degree relative of the participant.
(6)Other reasons stipulated by the organizer.
●Refund amounts will be transferred to the participant's designated account by June 30, 2024.
16. Once a participant registers, it is deemed that they agree to all the provisions of this event regulation.
